Study on high speed small PC cooling fan

摘要

In the point of view of noise reduction, PC cooling fans tend to have larger diameter and low rotation speed. However, downsizing of IT equipments requires small and high speed fans. As the flow speed increases, the condition of the inlet and outlet flow becomes important and duct type casing has been used for industrial or hobby use, which is called "ducted fan". The present study is an attempt to have findings to design the high speed small fan, the effect of the dimension of the duct on the fan performance and noise characteristics.
