DEVELOPING HIGH DENSITY SOLIDS PUMPING DREDGERS

Dredgers are widely used in land reclamation in the coastal regions. By using the traditional way of reclamation, the mud has 85% water content and only 15% sludge (solids). After land reclamation, there is also other work needed to proceed such as draining, dewatering, curing, and soil treatment, which is time consuming and costly for investors and contractors. In order to solve this problem and meet the huge demand of land reclamation projects, Qingdao Guohai Master Machinery Ltd. has developed the WBC-150 dredger which utilizes high density solids pumps that can pump out at least 68% soil content without drainage. Besides this, it can combine dehydrating, curing material and soil bio-safety disposal into the mixing process.
