In order to effectively control an initial stress of steel structure system of the "Bird's Nest," ensure the safety of the steel structure system during the conversion process and operation, while ensure the uninstall of the support tower and the installation of the follow-up shoulder sub-structure and the top surface sub-structure, the National Stadium "Bird's Nest" steel structure project works a strict assembly technology. From the welding application technology theoretical analysis, the assembly weld plays a very important role in the distribution of initial stress for the steel structure system. Assembly must ensure the steel structure temperature meet the design requirements of the premise. According to the six elements of this paper,the assembly is adopted. Due to the correct technical route and the serious work of the "Bird's Nest" steel structure engineering,the assembly projects have made a very excel lent result. As a result,the stress-strain converted by the "Bird's Nest" steel structure system has been effectively controlled,which reached the anticipated target. The success of the "Bird's Nest" Steel structure project assembly technique set an example to the construction steel structure welding project and also provides successful learning ex periences. It becomes a mirror in the construction steel structure welding project in China.
