Vibration Mitigation has reached a high standard. For new railway projects the vibration impact on humans and technical equipment is studied and disturbances can be avoided by various mitigation systems. For new railway tracks the mitigation will be done at the track itself for practical reasons. Floating slabs (FST) with eigenfrequencies between S and 25 Hz are able to reduce to nearly every limitation. On the example of the new North-South Connection in Berlin the mitigation concept of more than IS km floating slabs in tunnels is shown. The different test,studies and solutions will be explained. Last not least a view to new developments is presented.
