TWA phenomenon plays a significant role in clinical practice and diagnosis. Artificial TWA signals were simulated according to the synthesized linear model. In order to resolve quantitative problem in the estimation of TWA magnitude, an improved spectral method was developed in this paper and the integral average of fixed length method was adopted to substitute the traditional single reference mode. The statistic results showed that time domain anti-interference capabilities had been significant improved through the new method. The estimation formula for TWA magnitude, which first presented by David S. group, was revised based on variability and heterogeneity of physiological signals in practical application. The evaluation proved that TWA magnitude could be quantitative measurement and the absolute error could be controlled within 4- 5pV when SNR of signal is greater than 10db.
