Relationship Among Relative Light Intensity, Fruit Yield and Quality in the Canopy of Luntaibaixing

In order to study the relationship among fruit yield and quality and the relative light intensity in the canopy of Luntaibaixing, the method of canopy division was used, The canopy was divided into 1.0m × 1.0 m× 1.5 m cubic and the relative light intensity distribution, characteristics of yield distribution and fruit qualities in different cubics were measured. The results showed that the distribution of relative light intensity in the canopy gradually descended from the upper to the lower layer, from outer to the inner. The fruit yield is distributed mainly from 2.5 m to 4.0 m height in the canopy. The fruit weight, pH value, the content of Vitamine C, soluble solids and total sugar, the ratio of sugar to acid are positively correlated to relative light intensity. But the fruit shape index, firmness and titratable acidity content are negatively correlate to relative light intensity. The regression equations in relationships among yield, quality factors and relative light intensity were set up and the suitable relative light intensity are 52.38% for yield, 33.24% for fruit weight, 50.85% for pH value, 60.00% for Vc content, 45.25% for soluble solids content, 36.50% for content of total sugar, and 65.00% for titratable acidity.
