Design of Flexible Report System Based on XML Data Schema Mapping

摘要

Report forms are usually used to submit an enterprise's business information. Changes on report design are demanded when business environment changes. Flexible report system is designed to be with the ability of adapting to the dynamic changes. An effective way to create flexible report systems is to decouple data source representation from report processing by means of data mapping. In this paper,the techniques and strategies of achieving data flexible based on XML data schema mapping are explained;the method for mapping database schema into XML schema is described;the implementation framework based on J2EE and JasperReports is presented. Based on these techniques and methods,a report platform was built and integrated into a CBM information system. The result shows that XML-based data mapping mechanism can simplify the development of report system,and enhance Its flexibility.
