Research on Fuzzing Test for Browser on Android Platform

摘要

Fuzzing is a kind of effective and automatic software testing techniqu and provides a return-on-investment that far outweighs its implementation costs. Android is an open source software framework for mobile devicesf(i.e.,smartphones,PDAs). The incorporation of integrated access services to the Internet by browser on such mobile devices,however,increases their exposure to damages inflicted by diverse types of matware. Thus,it is necessaryto test the security of the browser proactively,before any problems occur. This paper proposes and implements comprehensive test modules for the browser on Android platform based on Fuzzing testing idea. The browser is tested by these modules and two unreleased vulnerabilities are discovered,which indicates the correctness of the research idea and the effectiveness and superiority of these moduless.
