Research on the Income Gap between Urban and Rural Residents in Dalian Based on R/S Method

摘要

A time series of the relative income gap between urban and rural residents in Dalian City is constructed and partition function method is employed in studying fractal characteristics of it. Then R/S analysis is used to determine Hurst Exponent of the time series, found it as a whole wavy-type changes since 1980. Because the Government continue to increase rural residents support efforts over the past four years, the fast increasing trend of the absolute income gap between urban and rural residents in Dalian City has been suppressed gradually, and it is expected to be further weaken in the next few years.
