To explore the characteristics of loess substrate dump massive landslide failure mechanism, analysis substrate surface mining dump Loess slope stability. Carried out in-depth study on the loess based load nature and evolution of the project using theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. Which discusses the formation physical laws that the loess is evoluted to the weak layer and proves that loess basement is the controlling factors of that affecting the dump slope stability. Also proposed the concrete ways and means of controling dump stability.
