The hazard of the explosion of the oil tank fire is great, which not only seriously threatens people's lives but also leads to great economic loss of the country and the enterprise. How to effectively put out the oil tank fire has always been a hot topic in the firefighting technology development. This thesis studies various formulas of the new type of self-developed lightweight heat shielding extinguishing agent which is used for the putting out of the oil tank fire. The author tries to find the best formula of the extinguishing agent through the experiment which tests the heat shielding performance of the specimen so as to satisfy the requirements of the extinguishing of the oil tank fire.
