摘要

A Mathematica based computational tool (MATHCASC) to calculate centrifuge cascades for uraniumenrichment will be presented. The tool is intended to facilitate the analysis of proliferation scenarios for political analysts.Besides basic capabilities to calculate feed, product and waste streams given a certain number of centrifuges of a certaintype (mass flow, separation factor) the program calculates the shape of single cascades or optimized series of cascade. Ithas the capability to assess batch-recycling scenarios and the continuous addition of centrifuges. It will also containdifferent analytical models to calculate the separative power of a single centrifuge from basic data (length, speed) formore advanced users. A small database of separative powers of different centrifuge generations and types reported orguessed by other authors will be available as examples. Once in alpha stage the program can be used with free software.The users will be able to input all necessary data using an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI).
