BioSUCCEED: Integrated Platform for Renewable Energy Products

BioSUCCEED (Bioproducts Sustainability, a University Cooperative Center forExcellence in Education) is an integrated and cooperative effort among threeUniversities to address the needs of the quickly evolving biomass & bioenergy climate.This work will provide content on one of the most important disciplines that theBioSUCCEED program is addressing: thermochemical transformations of wood andassociated residuals to fuels. We will provide an overview of the state-of-the-art inmodeling and evaluation of thermochemical platforms, the gaps and challengesassociated with its continued value, and several of the efforts that are being conductedin our laboratories that serve the basic mission of BioSUCCEED.
