PALM BIODIESEL IN AMAZONAS: DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC INTEGRATION

Economic development in a given region depends of some tools to make possible the employment, income, education, healthand other factors that raise the quality of life of population. The State of Amazonas, since from the beginning, is looking foran economic development alternative. However, the development attempts resulted only in short cycles.The propose of this paper is to examine the possibility of generation endogenous development from the production of palmbiodiesel in the State of Amazonas.Palm oil biodiesel in the State of Amazonas, can provide employment and income for the population, and increased qualityof life, as the use biodiesel in power generators of communities will prevent the lack of energy. Besides these benefits, thecultivation of palm will restore the devastated forest areas and will reduce the greenhouse effect by absorbing the carbondioxide emitted by diesel. And, additionally, the palm oil gives a range of possible by-products utilization in market of food(human and animal) and chemical.
