Global Intelligent Transportation System for ITS WORLD CONGRESS BUSAN 2010

摘要

The presented concept of Global Intelligent Transportation System (GITS) consists of twosubsystems: Ground and Sea. An element of both subsystems is an unmanned AutomatedVehicle (AV) that may be considered as a hybrid of conventional motor vehicle and railelectric vehicle. It is possible to say that it is a high speed truck or trolleybus. GITS is not abreakthrough but it is an evolutionary step relating to Railroad systems that are nearly 200years old and to Motor Vehicle systems that are nearly 100 years old. Using the achievementsof contemporary control and communication systems there is a good chance to make anautomatic transportation system today that may be economically effective, environmentallyfriendly and safe. It is possible to say that GITS is a concept of Transport Internet.
