A Development of Traffic Analysis Support System for Gyeonggi-Do Traffic Information Center

The object of this study is to build up a traffic analysis support system (TASS)which can be used in data management required in center operation, traffic planningand policy decision, by systematically managing traffic information obtained from thesites, management information for the Center facilities and vehicle detectors whichGyeonggi-do Traffic Information Center manages. TASS carried out, as a basic designdirection, building up a system for connection with the traffic analysis model,maximized data use and decision of congestion for each service, with the aid of thereal-time and past history data collected through the field equipment provided byGyeonggi-do ITS and through external related institutions. As a result, it was possibleto obtain efficiency index results as well as traffic flow analysis and linked roadanalysis for the Jayooro and the local road No.309 to contribute to both centeroperator's operation efficiency and reflection of manager's traffic policy.
