Computer simulation about three dimensional random structure model of karstic rock

摘要

Karstic rock contains many karst caves, which determines the engineering characteristics of the whole rock in a large extent. Ellipsoid is adopted to simulate the karstic caves in this paper. Firstly, mathematical description of the three-dimensional geological rock mass that is the carrier of the karstic caves is given. Secondly, the determination of the shape and size of ellipsoid is introduced and the method of generating complex caves is discussed also. Thirdly, the mathematic model of three-dimensional random caves and the mathematic description of the deterministic caves are discussed in detail. Lastly, a real three-dimensional random structure model of karstic rock based on actual observation record is given. The mathematic model for three-dimensional random caves of karstic rock put forward in this paper provides visualization means for the study of karstic rock, so it can be very helpful to the engineering activity of karstic rock.
