Toward an Emotion Machine-based hybrid adaptive tutoring system

摘要

This paper presents an outline of the architecture of an intelligent tutoring system based on the general architecture and ideas of the Emotion Machine. This is an agent-rich system, in which agents'' activity shifts between different action-supporting layers of "thinking". In this work, the EM architecture is adapted for a hybrid adaptive tutoring system. We discuss the proposed architecture, its major components, and the general principles of the EM-style layers of the architecture.
