Design and implementation of WAP-based campus mobile platform

In Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center (HEMC), there are more than 30 million high-quality college teachers and students. With the development of wireless technology and mobile phone technology, as well as the continuous deepening of education reform, solely Internet-based information system has been far from enough to meet the needs of the HEMC's development. After deep analysis of the actual network information requirements of the students, this paper proposes a blue print for campus mobile platform which is based on the WAP, and introduces some key technologies for wireless end-users to maintain session state. At present, campus mobile platform is running in good condition and the number of registered users is more than 5000.
