摘要

Anatomical structure of bamboo culm was investigated through 3-dimensional video microscope with a CCD camera. The fibre bundle content and the dimension distribution of fibre bundles in bamboo culm was analysed, the feasibility of natural bamboo fibre processing was also discussed. Cross section image of bamboo culm indicated that fibre bundle content gradually reduced from outer wall to inner wall, the culm could be therefore divided into three distinct regions. Fibre bundle dimension varied greatly and presented a damped sinusoidal character along the radical direction, which was harmful to the uniformity of natural bamboo fibre.
