The thermal liquid crystal polymer (TLCP) /Polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) in-situ microfibrils blend fibre was prepared by melt blending. The Non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of PPS/TLCP blend fibre was studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and Jeziorny model was utilized to analyze the parameters. Besides, the morphology of blend and the microfibrils of TLCP were observed through scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results showed that the microfibrils of TLCP, which acted as a heterogeneous nucleation agent in the course of blending with linear PPS matrix, increased the onset crystallization temperature and lowered the half time t1/2, thus accelerated the crystallization process.
