High-order structure evolution during the uniaxial stretching of glycerine modified poly(ethylene terephthalate) films above the glass transition temperature was investigated. The influence of incorporation of glycerine and the drawing conditions on the crystallization ability of the copolyester films was detected by DSC. Moreover, the orientation structure formation of the films during the stretching was characterized by a birefringence measurement.
