This paper presents the development of a Matlab/Simulink version of a generic rotorcraft analysis code. The Simulink approach where the time response of every property of the rotorcraft is instantaneously graphically displayed was found to be a powerful and very easy to use tool for both rapid rotorcraft configuration assessments and model upgrades and development. The Simulink advantages can be combined with all the functions that are inherent with the Matlab package for fast and easy analysis of rotorcraft performance, and for new simulation algorithms development. The model was coupled to an innovative trim method for time domain simulations. Results were compared with new flight test data on a Bell 206 helicopter carried out by Elbit Systems LTD.
