ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF 2D BARCODE VERSUS RFID IN MANUFACTURING: AN EXPLORATORY STUDY

This paper aims at addressing the benefits of automatic identification technologies (AITs) inmanufacturing and conducting economic analysis to evaluate and compare the costs and benefitsof implementing those AITs. We consider an organization that is considering adding these AITsto integrate with its ERP system and present the analysis in its context.
