This paper suggests supply chain operations strategies have stronger impacts onperformance than the type of supply chain relationship does. When cooperative supplychain relationship is recommended by most scholars and practitioners, we overlook theimportance of congruity of supply chain operations strategies. Three propositions areintroduced to discuss the relationship among supply chain operations strategies, supplychain relationship, and performance.
