摘要

@@ 1. Introduction The ecological risk of trace amounts of antibiotics and antibiotic resistant bacteria in the environment are now getting growing concern. Previous studies have shown that effluents from pharmaceutical plants contain high concentration of antibiotics synthetized in the manufacture process, so that discharge of pharmaceutical wastewater is an important source of antibiotics into the environment and will increase the antibiotic resistance level of bacteria in the receiving water. To our knowledge, no investigation have been conducted concerning the antibiotic resistant bacteria in the effluent of pharmaceutical wastewater treatment plant, which may enter the human gut through drinking water or swimming ways, so antibiotic resistance can be transferred to the gut dwelling bacteria to form acquired antibiotic resistance.
