Analysis of the cause of cracks and slope stability of Dalugou oil terminal

Just few years after the Dalugou oil terminal completed in 2003: the internal road, fence wall, and the metering room of the terminal have suffered some damages from the ground cracks. The oil terminal is now heavily threatened by the opening cracks and new-born ones. Through systematic investigation of the stratum, surrounding geological environment and the cracks appeared. The causes of the cracks in the oil terminal are reduced to three factors: creep sliding of the whole slope, sliding failure of the west filling slope and uneven subsidence of the filling. Two sections are selected to carry out slope stability calculation with the strength reduction method. The result indicates that the oil terminal is very dangerous in present circumstances.
