The purpose of this study is to understand the phenomenon between the tool-electrode and workpiece in ECM by establishing an equivalent circuit model for the electrochemical machining. In this context, after deciding the parameters in the equivalent circuit, the influence of the pulse off-time on the machining accuracy was examined. It was found that the phenomenon of the electrolytic reaction was reproduced by introducing Zener diode in the equivalent circuit. It was also found from the simulation that the pulse off-time plays an important role in the machining accuracy.
