The Impact of Information Sharing on Service Supply Chain Performance

There are obvious differences between service supply chain and product supply chain. The service cannot be stocked, but only be managed by adjusting capacity. We extended and improved the four-stage simulation model of mortgage service proposed by E.G. Anderson and D.J. Morrice to highlight the impact of information sharing in service supply chain. Base on the model, we use computer analog simulation technique to reveal the performance of service supply chain under different levels of information sharing. Measures of performance include application completion rate, backlog levels, total cumulative costs etc. Finally, we analyzed the internal causes based on the results of simulation and gave some suggestions.
