Wave-absorbing properties of hydrated cement with steel wire mesh and shielding effectiveness of mortar with steel wire mesh were studied. The results show; in 1 ~ 18GHz frequency range, 10mm hydrated cement with steel wire mesh has a maximum absorption of 16dB and the bandwidth for 6dB was 5. SCHz; 30mm has a maximum absorption of 9dB and the bandwidth for 6dB was 3GHz; hydrated cement with 2 layers steel wire mesh has better absorbing property than with 1 layer and without coated Zine has better than coated Zine. In 10kHz ~ 1.5 GHz, with the increase of frequency, shielding effectiveness of mortar with steel wire mesh increases gradually, the biggest shielding effectiveness was 16 dB for steel coated Zine while 21-23dB for steel without coated.
