APPROXIMATIONS FOR FULLY ISOTROPIC LAMINATE CONFIGURATIONS

Approximations for Fully Isotropic Laminate (FIL) configurations are presented as an extension to recent work on Fully uncoupled Orthotropic Laminates (FOLs) and FILs, which have recently been established as a special subset of FOLs. Approximations are characterized in terms of their proximity to the non-dimensional lamination parameters describing a FIL configuration. The proximity criteria applied, relates to changes in induced curvature and stiffness properties with respect to the FIL.
