The failure criteria from four theories — the Hankinson formula, Maximum stress theory, Tsai-Hill theory and Hyperbolic formula (modified Hankinson formula) — were applied to estimate the strength of laminated veneer lumber (LVL) by uniaxial tension test at various angles to the grain.
