Fire Resistance of Steel Column Glued with Structural Glulam Covers

Composite material has two options. One option is glued with structural steel and 60mm structural glulam. The other option is composed with structural steel, 15mm gypsum board and 30mm structural glulam. Used glulam(Korean Larch) laminated with Polyurethane resin adhesive between wood and steel . Gypsum board jointed with wood plugs and laminated with resorcinol resin adhesive between structural glulam. Columns tested Fire resistance test based on KS F 2257, ISO 834, ASTM E 119 for one hour and nonloading. Criteria are average temperature has to under 538 °C and maximum temperature should not up to 649 °C. Average temperatures of web and flange on composite material I is not exceed the criterion temperature. Maximum temperature of flange and web on composite material II is also not increase up to the criterion temperature. The results show that composite materials have one hour fire resistance performance.
