摘要

Polymer Engineering students from Simon Bolivar University of Venezuela receive a background in an injection mold design. The concurrent engineering methodology combined with the advantages of CAD/CAE/CAM tools is used in this course to design molds for injected plastic parts in very short time. This study presents projects related to the use of computer tools for the design of plastic parts molds during an university course. The object of this study is to give students the opportunity to visualize molds and their respective parts in 3-D and to understand the process of their production.
