Onsite Wastewater Treatment Using Evapotranspiration Bed System for the Wastewater from Sparsely Distributed Community

The On-Site Sewage Facilities (OSSF), commonly named as Septic Tank Systems, issupposedly to provide adequate treatment for individual private dwellings. In reality, because ofits poor efficiency and lack of sound engineering design, the OSSF has become a modern fa?adeto pollute the land and groundwater resources legally and unethically. The objective of thispaper is to present an innovative design approaches for OSSF based on evapotranspiration beddesign formulations to provide the needed sustainability for land and local environment wherethe OSSF is situated.
