摘要

The inherent dynamic relationships among design tasks performed concurrently at different organizations characterize the complexities of a design chain, where designers with diverse expertise need to collaborate across organizational boundaries. To ensure better solutions and greater savings in time and effort further downstream, the early evaluation of design concepts is crucial. A new approach based on extension theory is proposed in this paper. Matter element model of concept design is established. Meantime, the evaluation procedures for concept design are given. By calculating correlation degree and goodness, schemes for concept design can be chosen. Finally, a concept design case is given to prove the effectiveness of this presented method.
