Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emission in the Automobile compartment is becoming a critical issue for the Global Automotive Industry. To address the issue, it is important to improve and harmonize the very diverse and complex Global Automotive VOC Standards. The Poster will present the required multiple test methodologies from around the world and show illustrations of the test methods and equipment used. Also, the ever increasing number of compounds to be monitored will be depicted and the complex analytical data will be shown. The primary issues of concern to the global industry will be highlighted. These are: 1. Multiple and Varied Methods 2. Sample Preparation and Packaging Variability 3. Number of Targeted Chemicals 4. Specimen Size 5. Lab to Lab Variability The Poster will call for improved and harmonized global Automotive VOC Standards without affecting the Comfort or Safety of Automobile Occupants.
