摘要

The texture and mechanical properties of AZ31 Mg alloy processed by equal-channel angular extrusion (ECAE) were investigated. These alloys were subjected to one to eight passes, in which a single passage yielded an effective strain of ~1.15, at 498K. The microstructures of these alloys were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results showed that the higher Schmid factors of dominant texture in the alloy on slip system, the higher elongation of AZ31 Mg alloy at room temperature. However, the strength of AZ31 Mg alloy could not only be decided by the texture evolution, and the yield stress and ultra tensile strength of AZ31 Mg alloy were improved by two-step ECAE due to higher dislocation density and higher frequency of sub-grain boundaries although there were higher Schmid factors of dominant texture in the alloy.
