摘要

A novel biodegradable polymer, based on repetitive poly(ethylene) glycol diol oligomers, linked by ester bonds through fumarate (PEG-fum), was synthesized. This polymer was conjugated to three anticancer drugs: epirubicin, camptothecin SN-38 and taxol for a potential controlled release. The drugs may take advantage of the polymer properties to increase solubility, to prolong blood resistance and eventually to permit passive targeting into tumour by the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect. The easy biodegradability of the polymer backbone will allow the use of high molecular weight conjugates.
