Encapsulation and Release of Plasmid DNA from Uniform PLGA Microspheres

We investigated release of plasmid DNA from uniform 47- and 80-μm dia. PLGA microspheres. Mg(OH)_2 was included to buffer intraparticle pH and potentially increase pDNA stability. Mg(OH)_2 affected microsphere erosion and pDNA release, but had little impact on pDNA stability.
