Determination of Conservation Usage Methods of Geoparks: A Critical Assessment for Karapinar Ptential Geopark Site, Turkey

摘要

In this paper, it is presented an example from the studies which were executed as projects by General Directorate Of Mineral Exploration And Research (MTA) in Turkey. The aim of the project is; to prepare the inventory of geological heritage sites in Turkey and bring about the observance of the conservation statutes of these sites. It is purposed through the conservation to increase the number and diversity of protected areas through World Heritage Sites, European and Global Geopark Networks. In addition to the main aim of the project, also determination of methods for conservation and usage of the sites is concerned.
