HUMMERS AT-1 is first micro-satellite in DFH Satellite Co. Ltd. (IAC-06-B5.6.13). An integrated micro-electrics system (IMES) is being developed for the DFHSat micro-satellite mission and its public CAST-mini bus. This IMES is a comprehensive on-board automatic system, which manipulates the satellite operations, performs attitude control, implements autonomous management and information transmission. The IMES has two characteristics: the first is on board network control (OBNC), the second is embedded management executive unit (MEU).the on board network adopt dual-redundancy CAN bus as on-board field bus to meet the requirement for attitude control, distributed data handling, procedure control and autonomous management. The MEU is a standard interface data unit which embedded into the subsystem of a spacecraft as a standardized component of performing the general and special tasks of the sub system. The IMES software consists of three main elements (RTOS-Real Time Operating System, LLF-Low Level Functions, ALF-Application Level Functions) to support respectively interface with the MEU, on board data handling and spacecraft control. Based on-board network control incarnates enough the development tendency of the IMES i.e. network, integration, intelligence, agent. The paper presents an overview of the HUMMARSAT-1 and the design details of the OBNC and MEU in the IMES, describing its architecture, specification, hardware and software system.
