摘要

The paper deals the influence of various geometric shapes of finite elements on the results of the structural analysis. The proper chose of geometric shape the finite element is reported on two cases. In the firs case the bimetal strip was uniform heated. In this case the deflection can be solved analytically too. In the second case we used non-uniform heated bimetal release, which temperature distribution was caused by Joule losses and heat transfer mechanisms in the motor protection switch (MPS).
