The AC Loss Characteristics of Bi-2223/Ag Superconductor Tapes in Power Cable Conductor

摘要

The ac loss characteristics in assembled superconductor tapes in power cable and coil structure is much different with single tape because of mutual interaction of electromagnetic phenomenon between neighboring tapes. In this paper, we numerically investigate the ac loss of the Bi-2223/Ag tapes in power cable model. The computation results are compared with ac loss measurement as well as two analytical formulae. It verifies that proposed method by numerical calculation effectively estimate the ac loss in cable system.
