Absorption with chemical reaction: evaluation ofrate promoters effect on CO2 absorption in hotpotassium carbonate solutions

摘要

The improving effect of rate promoters has been investigated by experiments atpilot plant scale in conditions close to the operating conditions of the top zoneof a typical hot potassium carbonate industrial packed bed absorber. Theevaluation of promoter enhancement factor has been done by successiveexperiments with absorption of CO2 into water, into carbonate solution and intopromoted carbonate solution.
