摘要

This paper discusses on a 1,340 X concentrator photovoltaic using III-V solar cells. The newtechnologies developed for further concentration were (1) new concentrator optics – 1,340 X square-to-squareconcentration using shaped Fresnel lens made by injection molding and kaleidoscope glass homogenizer made bythermal process, and (2) Passive cooling for 1,340 X concentration. Concentrator optics was designed forcompatible to the current 500 X trackers, namely plus or minus 0.9 degree of acceptance half angle. The newpackaging technology enables as low as 0.2 Kcm~2/W heat resistance with keeping more than 3.5 kV breakdownvoltage. The outdoor module efficiency of the first prototype module was 22.9 %.
