This is the second one in a series of two articles withthe goal of evaluating and comparing theperformance of typical ventilation methods in currenttextile mills. This paper is aimed at experimental andCFD analysis of airflow distribution in the textilemills. The airflow performance of three exhaustmethods, DTEM and CSRAM and DBEM, werecompared by tracing the contour of airflowdistribution in vertical and horizontal directions.Furthermore, CFD study on airflow distribution wasalso conducted for the same three exhaust methodsin the textile workplace. When DTEM was used, thezone in 4m level upward from the spinning-framehad the optimal performance of airflow pattern.However, the optimal performance of airflow patternfor CSRAM and DBEM appeared in the zone of 2mlevel leand 1.5m level upward from the spinning-frame,respectively. The results of CFD analysis canalso show that DBEM performed best among thethree ventilation methods because the most of supplyair reached the occupied zone of textile workplace.
