The objectives of this work were to identify the area of a nearby creekwhere contaminated groundwater discharges, define the limits of the contaminant discharge,and perform groundwater and surface elevation measurements throughout thedischarge area. These measurements were made using simple mini-piezometer basedporewater sampling techniques. This information, combined with geophysical data,defined preferential flow pathways from the source to the discharge, and helped direct theplacement of additional monitoring wells.
