This paper presents a Performance and Risks (P&R~(TM)) approach to assess risk levels within a CO2 storage project. It is based on a systemic modelling of the storage system, along with degradation scenarios. One main feature of the approach is its capacity to identify and quantify the source of risk, enabling decision support for optimized risk treatment solutions. Its results also have the benefit of being highly communicable, helping safety demonstration to non-technical people.
