Construction of a CO_2 pipeline test rig for RD and operator training

摘要

A CO_2 pipeline test rig for R&D and operator training has been constructed at the Statoil laboratories in Trondheim, Norway. Its first purpose being to serve as an R&D test rig for establishing the operation window and specifications of sub sea CO_2 pipelines, and its second purpose being to serve as a training test rig for the operators of the world's first offshore CO_2 pipeline in Hammerfest, Norway. This paper is describing the purpose, design basis and operational philosophy of the test rig, commissioned in 2005. An example of experimental data from the rig is also given.
